Paul McCartney will look back on his time in Wings in an upcoming book titled, Wings: The Story of a Band on the Run, which is set to be published on November 4. The 528-page book features over 100 previously unpublished photographs, and comprises interviews with McCartney and his Wings bandmates –  Paul’s wife Linda McCartney, former Moody Blues singer Denny Laine, and drummer Denny Seiwell – and others associated with the group. “I’m so very happy to be transported back to the time that was Wings and relive some of our madcap adventures through this book,” McCartney says. The book chronicles the journey of McCartney’s post-Beatles band, from its formation in 1971 to its dissolution in 1981. The oral history was edited by historian Tim Widmer, who says, “Wings was about love, family, friendship and artistic growth, often in the face of tremendous adversity.” The book coincides with McCartney’s ongoing reissue projects, along with the development of a documentary exploring his solo and Wings years.
